[film] Avengers Assemble
Mar. 3rd, 2013 08:52 pmNot as good as any of the films about the individual heroes (not counting Iron Man 2, which was terrible, and any other sequels there may have been, because after Iron Man 2 I've declared a moratorium on sequels of Marvel characters; nor have I seen the Hulk film because I've never been able to form any interest in that direction).
It wasn't the first half hour I objected to (like a lot of people did), it was the half hour after they've assembled where they're all squabbling that bored the hell out of me. To the point where it was hard to get my attention back even though the trans-dimensional monsters were really rather cool.
Some real talent (RDJ) and some lovely eye candy (Thor), yet really only made worthwhile by the scene where Loki is ranting on about being a god and how he should be worshipped, and the Hulk just picks him up and smashes him around.
