Permanent accounts are on sale today. Tempting, but I'm a)broke; and b) too cheap to get a regular paid account. Oh well.
I didn't sleep well on Saturday or Sunday nights, so I was a bit worried that I was about to be stuck in another insomnia feedback loop. Fortunately I slept last night and feel as close to human as I ever do again.
Got out of the house to play on Sunday chez
sushidog, even though I wasn't initially feeling up to it, but I think seeing real live people did me a world of good.
Was pleasantly surprised by my latest library book - The Eye in the Door, the second part of Pat Barker's Regeneration trilogy. Importantly, it works very well as a novel in its own right and I didn't feel like I was missing out by not having read the first volume. Which I will make an effort to look for now. Previously I've only read one of her books, Another World, which while well written didn't really say anything to *me*.
Last week I subjected Jason to my favourite Canadian film, Jésus de Montréal, which I last saw in 1990. Fortunately, it is as good as I remembered.
Speaking of subjecting Jason to films, has anybody got a copy of Betty Blue? He's never seen it, and it's currently not available from our video club. I don't like it enough to purchase it. VHS or DVD OK.
As usual, I'm pretty sure I had some thoughts on things I read in the online newspapers today, but can't remember any of them now.
