Late, as always
Jun. 29th, 2005 07:31 pmBoth of these have been commented on by nearly everyone, but not in one post as far as I know.
1. The good news
The Canadian parliament passed the same-sex marriage bill last night. The Tory leader came across as in intolerant jerk. Again. But that makes him even more un-electable, so there's a silver lining there too.
2. The bad news
The Blair government pushed through the ID card bill. It still has to go through a crucial third reading, and I might well write to my MP, but there's no way she's going to vote against Blair.
Once again, I am proud to be Canadian.
