that make life more bearable.

Firstly, a Polish food store has opened up a 10 minute walk from here! They were sadly out of veggie perogies today but will have a shipment later in the week. The selection of poppy-seed laden pastries was a bit poor as well but I'll see what it's like when I go score my perogies. Jason got his fix of Polish sausage product, and I got a bag of truly evil cookies.

On Tuesday I finally snapped with regard to my perpetual bad hair days, so I've had a drastic haircut. It looks good, and my conditioner budget should go down. Unfortunately for the lazy slob in me, it's a hair style rather than a hair cut, so it will require effort and regular trips to the hairdresser to maintain, or it will swiftly start to look terrible. I think I'm fed up enough with always looking like crap to make the effort. I've booked in to have the colour done in three weeks and thus have that long to decide if I want to stay blonde or not.

Yesterday we had barbecue fun chez [livejournal.com profile] sarah_mum. Many thanks for putting up with us. I like this Leaving the House business.

In the house hasn't been so bad either. We just watched the first three episodes of Ewan McGregor And Charley Boorman - Long Way Round. So far, it's an absolutely top series, and many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bar_bar_ella for reminding me of its existence.

If only tomorrow wasn't Monday.

Whats's all this about 'putting up with'? A pleasure to see you.
Yes, Leaving the House is excellent. Afternoon/evening partes are good too - all guests gone and the house tidy again before midnight.

And, in the case of the guests, tucked up in bed by midnight, even with travelling.

Name and address of Polish food store please?

Any chance of getting that CD from you sometime soon (I'd like to get it in the post to my friend)?

What did you think of the punk DVD?

Polish food store sounds like fun :)

I'm all in favour of small local shops selling interesting things. Tesco and their ilk just can't complete with that.

The Polish food store is on Church Road opposite St George's Park. I think I still have the leaflet they sent us sitting in the recycling downstairs & can find the real address. It's called Smackus.

How about tomorrow or Wednesday evening to drop off the CD? I still haven't found time to watch the punk DVD. I was going to do it yesterday but got sucked into The Long Way Round instead.
