In the good news department, Paypal have refunded my money for the non-appearing digital radio, in less than two weeks. (The small print says it can take up to 30 days to resolve a dispute, so this is impressive). There aren't any second hand ones that I want up on ebay at the moment, so I'm looking at grey-market complete season 1-6 box sets of The West Wing instead. I have pre-ordered season 7 on Amazon but we have to wait till September.
The new Airbus did a few laps of Bristol (parts of it were built here) on its way to Heathrow today. Holy crap it's huge!
The story about the cholera epidemic in Angola which I remarked on in the French press the other day has turned up on the BBC site today. I'm still finding Le Monde easier to read than French BBC (which has coverage entirely of former French colonies in Africa, not of Europe) or French CBC, though I got, oh, minutes of amusement out of the completeness of the coverage of Saskatchewan news on the Radio-Canada site. I think it's more than they ever have in English.
I really want to attend Ant's trad goth night at the Full Moon tomorrow, but see the opening line to this post. I very rarely feel better on Friday than I do on Thursday, and today has mostly been spent trying not to die.
In the bad news department, I'm not having much luck finding cheap flights to Toronto for the autumn. Well, the flights still look cheap, but the new fuel surcharge then doubles it. Why can't they just put it in the price so I don't get all excited in the first place?
