Another weekend where my achievements amount to sleeping, watching videos and cursing lack of sufficient painkillers. I'm far from impressed. There was a lot of things I wanted to do. My brain is completely dead too. I especially hate starting the week with the house a bigger mess than on Friday - usually we clean up at the weekend & it degenerates during the week.

I'd love to blame the heat, but it hasn't been all that hot here, our house stays reasonably cool, and I've recently coped in much hotter temperatures.

We even had a nifty thunderstorm blow over here, but we didn't actually get rained on. It was cool, but I'm blaming it for the thumping headache. Having weather-sensitive headaches really sucks.

Speaking of things that suck, the US version of Dark Water is even worse than the Japanese original, which wasn't great. Once again, the only thing that's scary is the plumbing and shitty landlord problems. On the plus side, we have decided that next time we go to New York we need to ride the cable car to Roosevelt Island.

My head/sinuses have been feeling very odd the past week, not sure why!

I don't mind the heat, its the fact it always comes with lots of humidity here :-/

I figured out on my last two trips abroad that the problem isn't even so much the humidity, as that there's never a breath of air when it's hot & humid here. If there's a breeze, it's not so bad at all.

That, and in France they deliberately make public spaces so that there's as much shade as possible, so we weren't often stuck in the glaring sunlight in the middle of the day.
