I've been listening to my Ghoultown CDs a lot since they arrived. The second one "Give Them More Rope" is better than the earlier stuff, with the exception of "Killer in Texas", which is a great track. They sound vaguely like the Nephilim with a mariachi horns section. At triple the speed. Excellent bouncy stuff, perfect for cherring me up while I'm stuck in the house. Actually I don't think they sound anything like the Nephilim, but Jason does. I think it's the obsession with spaghetti westerns, except that Ghoultown get it right.
Then I wandered on over to mp3.com and listened to the new Collide material. It's very good, pity the album isn't out for another 6 weeks.
While I was there I went to download the newer Unto Ashes material, as I have yet to get around to buying Saturn Return, and discovered their cover of Christian Death (Rozz era) "Cavity (First Communion)". I really like that track to begin with, but this cover is a vast improvement.
And I'm still listening to the Ramones a lot, but that's a separate post in itself if I ever get around to it.
