I had an excellent time yesterday. We met up with
diffrentcolours,
greyeyedeve,
flooks and flooks' girlfriend (who I understand has an LJ, but forgot to catch her user name) at the Bristol waterfront for some Mexican food, a trip to the Bristol Industrial Museum (because you never do these things where you live until people come to visit), and had a boat ride in the harbour on an old fireboat with water cannons.
I hope a super time was had by all; Jason and I certainly enjoyed ourselves. I'm paying for it a bit today, but I'm significantly less depressed than I have been.
I hadn't seen
diffrentcolours in far too long, and I don't think I've seen
flooks since I left Manchester, so it was great to see them again. I really do need to get myself up to Manchester in the not too distant future. Amongst other things, the People's History Museum apparently has new and improved quarters. Not that I ever went to the old one, despite being able to bore for England on the subject of northern labour history. See point above about never doing the nifty stuff in the place you live.
