Disaster averted
Mar. 28th, 2004 08:48 pmI just worked out that we will be landing in Nova Scotia on the Thursday before the long weekend, and that things will be busier than I'd anticipated. I now have a B&B in downtown Halifax booked for the weekend, and will sort out car rental in the next few days.
So I'll be arriving in Canada at the one time of year Canadians go firework crazy. Imagine my delight. Here's hoping it's not a Maritime thing.
Car rental aside, I really have to spend this week getting ready for the holiday I'm going on next week. That would be sensible. I'm trying to be one step above "tickets, passport, money", but I guess Portugal is cheap if I forget stuff.
I thought I got up really early this morning, turned on News 24 and discovered that the clocks had gone forward so no, I didn't. Felt like shit all day anyway, till about now and I'm wide awake. This happens every Sunday and is most annoying.
