The weather was still lovely today, so we went out to the sea front at Weston-super-Mare, which was nowhere near as ghastly as I'd been led to believe. In fact, it's rather lovely.

We eventually found ourselves a little way up the coast at Sand Bay, which was even more lovely (though more windy too). It looks as if there's lots of good walking in the area, including Woodspring Priory so we'll be back.

It's only taken me 13 years, but I've finally found a good place to go roller blading over here - sea front promenades. Flat, go on for ages, and loads of room. And I can get to the Weston beach by public transport. Now I just need to sell enough stuff to buy myself a pair.

9. Monday Mourning by Kathy Reichs
Better than the last one. A definite "leave me alone, I'm reading" experience. I have come to the conclusion that I like the Montreal-set books better than the Charlotte ones.

Also discovered that the Bristol Central Lending Library's coffee shop is a nice, quiet cheap place to get a coffe & a snack, and the chairs are more comfortable than they look. An hour and a half of Friday just disappeared while I sat there & read this.
