On The Road
Aug. 22nd, 2007 07:12 pmThere's an interesting article on Alternet about On The Road. This helpfully reminded me that I heard something on the radio recently that an uncensored version of On The Road is coming out soon.
I had zero expectations when I read this book, but somebody left a copy at my house once. I took a look to see what it was all about, and was hooked in minutes. That was a long time ago, and I think it's probably due a re-read. I could do with sitting down and comparing the two versions.
It's not out over here yet, but it's not like I'm desperate for reading materials. However, Amazon.com wants $15 whereas Amazon UK are charging £16. Yes, that's almost exactly twice as much. Bastards. With any luck by the time I'm ready there will be lots of seconhand copies for 1p.
