[books 2011] Pray for Silence
Dec. 14th, 2011 03:36 pm76. Pray for Silence by Linda Castillo
This is the sequel to Sworn to Silence, following the adventures of Kate Burkholder, an ex-Amish chief of police in a small Ohio town that has a sizeable Amish population. I bought the first one because it was a gimmick I couldn't resist but found that it was better written than something that disposable has any right to be.
I didn't think this was as good as the first one, and I figured out who the killer was before Kate does (which I pretty much never do), but it's still well worth reading for the quality of the writing.
