An alternative to Freecycle?

inulroHas anybody here used Gumtree?
I found out about it because there's posters for it all over the city.
It has buy and sell postings, but also trade and free things to give away/wanted categories. Unlike freecycle, the interface doesn't make me lose the will to live. I'll probably give it a try at some point, but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations/horror stories.
