I have signed a contract for summer school, so I'm somewhat less stressed. Still no other work, though. I'll only be teaching in the mornings and could use some casual work in the afternoons to pay off my credit card bill.
Today I took the bus out to where I'll be teaching. It's not only far away, it's a nasty walk up a hill from the bus stop. Looks like I'm going to get lots of reading done in July, as well as keeping up with my current walking resolution. (I'm trying to walk at least half an hour every day. Which may sound kinda pathetic, but it's all I can manage at present, and I'm doing pretty well with it so far. Except for the days it was really windy last week. Wet I can cope with, but not windy.)
The doors to our conservatory came with custom-fit blinds on the window panes. Which have needed to go for years, but as they're an odd size, I never have enough money to replace the blinds (which were nice, once). Said blinds were a casualty of the male rabbit/male cat spray war that intermittently sets off in the conservatory (it could be worse, they could do it in the house). I finally realised that I don't need new custom fitted blinds, I need some fabric to make curtains and some string to hold them up with. Quick detour to Fabricland and we're sorted. Actual curtain construction will have to wait till tomorrow though.
I had a huge list of Things To Do if I didn't get any work this week, but damned if I can remember any of it.
