The new temp job should be OK. There is some confusion as to whether it is for 2 weeks or 4; the longer would be nicer, but I'm not that bothered. I've never gone into an NHS job that was better organised than I could possibly do before, and the people seem quite pleasant.
It's much easier to get there than expected - 20 minutes bus and then a 10 minute walk. The bus only runs every 20 minutes but I asked and nobody cares if I'm late because I miss it or it doesn't show up. Ease of bus is good news, as I'm not sleeping again so I feel like poo and cycling is going to be a bit of a non-starter. Also, working all day is in itself a shock to the system, so I might be doing not a lot but work and sleep for a while.
As an added bonus, today we had a kitten in the office! Someone had to pick up her new kitten at lunch and couldn't take it home till 4. Not a lot got done this afternoon.
