53. The Devil Delivered by Steven Erikson
Good summary here. Post-apocalyptic dystopia, partly set in Saskatchewan, with regular rubbishing of the Noble Savage idea. All in 150 pages. What's not to love?
I've even decided not to finish a book! I started the freebie that was being given away at Fantasycon last year, Orizon by Mario Routi. Was not doing anything for me, and I've got a pile of stuff I desperately want to read. If anyone wants it, it's yours.
This morning I was nearly bored enough to do the LibraryThing unread books meme, but thankfully some work materialised. The list includes an odd combination of a lot of my favourite books, and a lot of Jane Austen, which frankly I'd need a gun to my head to read (but would therefore not be lying around the house unread).
I'm also quite sure I'm never going to get myself a LibraryThing account - it might be useful for cataloguing purposes, but if I ever have that much time on my hands, there's dozens of projects which would be better use of it.
