Computer Explodery
Nov. 19th, 2007 08:30 pmSo I'm at work this morning, checking my email, when there's an almighty CRACK!!! sound and a funny burning smell. After I'd checked nothing was actually on fire and established that nothing but my PC was non-functional, I rang the helpdesk and was able to say "my computer blew up", and mean it.
It took a few minutes to get over the initial shock, but now I think it's completely hilarious. All day people have been coming in and asking why I'm sitting at a different desk so I kept getting to explain that "my computer blew up".
I'm amused by small things, I know.
ION, it was so cold in the office today that I voluntarily went to a meeting that I could have got out of because it was warmer in the meeting room. There turned out to also be cake in the meeting.
