I've had a ridiculously productive day. I'm in great amounts of pain now. The two are related.

I spent the morning, as always, at the animal shelter. I probably got away with doing less physical work than usual, because it wasn't that busy.

Came home and cleaned out all three bunnies (and guinea pig) really thoroughly, as the summer heat has a way of making bunny cages smell worse than usual.

We put Socks and Sneezey back in the house first, as their cage dries fastest, leaving Snuffles and Florence outside just for a minute. I tidied a couple things up and went back outside to see that they were having a massive fight again. (When I left them Snuffles was hiding in her little shelter - either Florence stuck her nose in, or else Snuffles heard us take the others inside and came out and attacked). I had some difficulty splitting them up - not like with cats where you're afraid of losing a limb, but because they have an astonishing ability to run away yet continue to fight at the same time. By this time the entire back yard was covered in bunny hair.

No real damage was done, but we've learned that we just can't leave those two where they can get at each other, ever. At all. They were supposed to hate each other less after Florence had her operation. Oh well.

I then cleaned out one of the rats. He's not my friend any more. (Rats hate being cleaned out. They just got it the way they like it, didn't you know).

In anticipation of putting up the new book case tomorrow, I emptied the old one, got Jason to take it upstairs, and proceeded to move a lot of junk onto it. I'm not fully re-acquainted with my floor, but it's a lot tidier in here than it was when I started.

I've only not managed to do one thing that I planned to do today (which is a new record for me). Unfortunately, that was the job that involved using up the ingredients in the fridge that are likely to go off soon, but they should wait until tomorrow.

And I've just noticed that we've missed Subspecies yet again. I thought it was next week. This is why I wish things weren't monthly.

I'm going to go take vast amounts of painkillers now, and watch the final episode of Strange. These two are not related.

Yeah, the ferrets never seem to impressed after I clean out their cage. And, maybe they don't like to smell of Febreeze.

We missed that night again as well. J is nursing the hangover from hell and I worked from 8am until almost 6pm with few breaks.

Glad to hear the bookcases are helping-ours certainly did.

our rattie boys always seem really appreciative when we clean their cage - except they drag the clean bedding out of their igloo :-)
