And still in a good way! I was a bit stiff and sore today, but not enough so to stop me going out today and finishing the job I started. That is something of a first for me, for as long as I can remember.
In fact, I accomplished everything (within reason) on my to-do list today. The house is a complete disaster area so naturally I was out pottering in the garden, and what I did do in the house weren't the things the need doing worst. My excuse is that I wanted to do things that give me a sense of achievement, rather than tackle the mountain of washing-up, which just gets me back to zero.
I drove my own car today. It is old, knackered and fights back. However, I can not only drive it, I can park it. For a while I did wonder how I ever got phobic and avoidant about driving, because now it's really hard to grasp just how ill I was when I stopped driving (and doing just about anything else).
While I'm getting my physical stamina and strength back, my brain is making no signs of returning. I suppose I should take what I've got and stop complaining.
And what happened to spring? April was colder than it was all winter, and now it's summer. I'm not complaining, but I have several fabulous spring-weight jackets and coats that I didn't get to wear.
