I always have two bunnies. That's as many as I can cope with (we had three for a while, and I felt like I spent my whole life cleaning them out, and that was before I had assorted hamsters and stuff). It's less fun around here for rabbits in the winter so when Jerry passed on I decided not to think about getting another until spring.
This evening I went to see Bev, the lady who used to run the animal shelter I worked at. She still always has a few waifs and strays at her house. I've never just gone to a shelter and chosen a bunny before - I've always brought home ones I've worked with that have odd little personalities. I trust Bev, though, and she has the perfect little guy for me - very small, lionhead, white. Ridiculously sweet and cuddly. Rabbits Do Not Like being cuddled, but this one can be carried around for ages. He's almost a year old (I don't want one any younger - you think teenage humans are stroppy, you've never seen teenage rabbits).
I couldn't bring him home tonight because the spare rabbit hutch has been filled with miscellaneous junk so I will be picking him up some time this week.
