inulroFor the first time since I left home over 20 years ago, I have a Christmas tree! (For the proper display of all my Halloween decorations, since I was too sick to get them out in October). Picture may or may not follow.
Thanks to price reductions at B&Q (and crappy selection at Next and House of Fraser this year), I ended up spending 1/4 of what I had budgeted to get us a nice artificial tree. (We are both allergic to real, and I'm especially allergic to the mess they make). It is purple. Jason bought more LED lights than a tree three times its size will need, and that's in addition to the LED holiday lights we already have.
The thing that I had forgotten is that decorating the tree takes some skill and patience, so I've given up in disgust (and with much back pain) after 15 minutes. I also require something suitably un-Christmassy to put on the top.
Back pain continues to be tiresome but I have booked both doctor and osteopath appointments this week so should be under control soon.
