He has not only directed his Twitter readers to Bad Science, he has left the following comment for Dr Ben:

The fatuity of the Jeni Barnett woman’s manner - her blend of self-righteousness and stupidity, her simply quite staggering inability to grasp, pursue or appreciate a sequence of logical steps - all these are signature characteristics of Britain these days. The lamentable truth is that most of the population wouldn’t really understand why we get so angry at this assault on reason, logic and sense. But we have to keep hammering away at these people and their superstitious inanities. We have to. Well done you and well done all you supporting. I’ve tweeted this site to my followers. I hope they all do their best to support you. Publish and be damned. We’ll fight them and fight them and fight them in the name of empricism, reason, double blind random testing and all that matter.
Love

What's really funny is that Stephen Fry was so angry that he mis-spoke(sic), then corrected himself in the next post.

When Stephen Fry is so angry that "words fail him", now that's angry.

Ah, it's in her Wikipedia entry... also, your link to Bad Science is broken.

Download and listen to it. Until you hear it for real, you can't believe just how clueless she really is.

"You're sneezing"
'I've got a cold'
"Did you have a flu vaccination?"
'Yes'
"See! I told you these things were no good!"

I actually did read the Bad Science column on the day it was written, but I didn't memorise the name.

I'm not sure I need this to tell me how bad journalism is in Britain. I already know how useless they are and I'm depressed enough as it is! :)

This isn't just the usual Melanie Phillips bad journalism, it's bad radio: abominably bad radio. There's probably a place for cheery blithering idiots on Radio Happy, you just don't let them run with scissors or cover topics with much risk of embarrassment. This one though? "inept" is about the best term. She's just no bloody good at doing radio phone-ins.

...and of course there's the "culpable idiocy" problem too.

Aw, bless 'im.

As for the radio show, that really hurt to listen to, particularly when she assumed the doctor who phoned in was supporting her when he was doing exactly the opposite.

Sorry...
