Picked this up in Pages in Toronto in 2008. I kept bouncing off it, but gave it one last try in December and finally finished it. It's interesting, if now somewhat out of date. It consists of essays about stories the mainstream US media won't touch with a barge pole, other ways corporate media manipulates the public, and press intimidation/restrictions around the world. A lot of it was things I already knew, but some useful links.
Not exactly a brilliant start to 2011. (It was also beginning to feel that I was never going to finish a book!)
