A self-sacrificing Korean Catholic priest volunteers for an extremely dangerous medical experiment looking for a cure for a disease that is not unlike Ebola. By means that are not explained, he comes out of it a vampire, and starts a relationship with a young woman who is kept as a virtual slave by her husband's family.
Even by Korean standards, this is weird. And because of the way Koreans feel about duty and knowing your place, etc, I was left with the uncomfortable feeling that the film was actually condoning all the domestic violence.
Erm. Yeah. Weird.
