So, last night I did something I've never done before.

When I finished circuits I stayed on to do spin.

Usually circuits is really brutal, but there was a different instructor this week. I only did it because I only had one more day at work to get through, I had a meal ready to pop in the microwave waiting at home, and today I have a physical team member present to keep me awake and make me cups of coffee if I can't move (it's not bullying or abuse of power if she's allowed to laugh at me).

About the last, she's just phoned in with a sick baby, so I'm stuck here on my own today.

Anyway, I hurt, but I can move. I think I used to hurt this much after doing a single class. I get frustrated because after all these years of going to the gym, I still hurt disproportionately after everything I do. Also I've been worried over recent months that my chronic fatigue symptoms have increased. This at least proves a) that I have made progress in the gym, it's just very slow, and b) No really, I'm all right.

We shall see whether I can move tomorrow, but on the other hand, if I can't, it's Saturday.

Ouch, well done for getting through it. Spin class in particular sounds horrid, but then I'm only basing on that on seeing Run Fatboy Run.

If it's a muscley hurt, it may just mean that you're always pushing yourself. As long as you are taking time to recover, you are probably fine. Stretch and do some gentle exercise the next day. Make sure also that you are breathing while working out, hydrating, and eating enough protein. (You probably already know all this stuff, but reminders don't hurt. And congrats on the double workout. :) )
