[film] Snow White and the Huntsman
Jul. 27th, 2013 08:48 pmThat wasn't nearly as bad as I had heard.
It's a version of the Snow White story that owes an awful lot to Tolkien. It also plays with the concept of sacral kingship, something that's been knocking around in my head a lot lately. It's very pretty.
The down sides are the first half hour is quite dull, and, being *that* kind of a sword-and-sorcery fantasy, there's too damn much walking around in the woods.
But still a pleasant surprise.
