Hearts in Atlantis
The Radio Times gave this two stars, which is about right. I only watched it because I had just finished reading the book. It's only a film of the first story in the book, Low Men in Yellow Coats, which is the best part of the book.
Anthony Hopkins turns in a good performance, but he's not at all how I pictured Ted (far too sane, most of the time). This just skips quickly over a whole bunch of events; what I loved about the book was the level of detail and the claustrophobia of it all, which is completely missing from the film.
The Page Turner
A French "psychological thriller".
Just really, really dull, but at least I got to hear some French, right?
