The Way Back

I only watched this because I saw the trailer and the scenery looked amazing.

And that was about it. I didn't find the story that interesting or inspiring like apparently you're supposed to (a bunch of people escape from a Siberian Gulag in 1941 and walk to India), but the scenery throughout was really something.

The Draughtsman's Contract

Somehow I managed to let the Radio Times convince me this sounded like a good film - obviously I missed the Peter Greenaway bit, because his work never makes sense to me.

And it's basically a restoration comedy. I can't emphasize enough how much I hate restoration comedy. Went right off it in Intro to Drama 105 and the feeling has never gone.

But speaking of nice settings, I want to find out where this was filmed and go visit the house.

Edit: The house is in Kent. Note to self.

Edit II: I almost forgot the terrible renditions of works by Purcell. I love Baroque music and was offended by these.
