Self-indulgent waffle

inulroOnce again I've accomplished absolutely nothing with my day off. I'm seriously considering asking to go back to full time. I'm not having any less time off sick since I dropped my hours, but I don't think that logic will wash.
The point of working less was not only to have less time off sick, but to have more time to do stuff for myself and keep the house and my life in order. Aside from the vaccuuming getting done a little more regularly, none of the above has happened, and I tend to just sit around the house and mope. Plus, I can't emphasize enough how much I don't like having gone back to worrying about money. Been there, done that, am inordinately proud of having done so for such a long time, but am now just too bloody tired.
It's starting to look rather dubious that we'll make it to Convergence - partly a money thing, but also partly because I don't feel right about visiting the US at the moment. I had an entire entry in my head about this but it's gone now.
We will still be going to Toronto, probably at the end of April as originally planned (the really cheap flights are for the week that everyone will be in Chicago, so we might go then, hang out with my non-goth friends & travel for a week and see everyone else post Convergence). If we wait any later it's too expensive until fall and I don't want to leave it that long; and I don't have enough holiday left to come earlier. If I turn out to have extra cash, we'll probably blow that on seeing more of Canada.
I lied. I sort of did something today. I watched the video of The Filth and the Fury, Julien Temple's film about the Sex Pistols, which was on over Christmas. I had some thoughts about it, but am not coherent enough to write it up at the moment.
