Quick update

Today's project was making use of the ex-gerbil tank. It now contains one tiny hamster. I was afraid he/she/it (it's Nano, who I think is a boy, but I'm used to referring to as a girl) would get lost as the tank is approximatley 1.5 metres long, but Roborovskis are smart little things and s/he found her way around everything in no time, and has continuously been making use of the whole space all afternoon & evening. Pictures may follow. Hamstercam should be up and working soon, but having put her in the bigger space makes it difficult.

My eyes aren't much better. I think I'm going to have to go back to the GP, as this just isn't behaving like a normal eye infection.

I was just watching Smallville (yes, I know it's shit, but it's shit I like, OK?) and the closing track was a cover of Walking in Memphis that absolutely murders the original. For some unknown reason, I found that very depressing.

Personally, I find most cover songs by recent bands depressing, as most of them seem to feel that *not* slaughtering a song is somehow wrong.

Also, I wish they'd write their *own* fucking songs, instead of harvesting and killing our to provide themselves with depth and meaning of which they're otherwise incapable.

Man, I want to get in my car and run over some teenagers all of the sudden. ;)
