Went to London for Paul & Lisa's housewarming party. Had a most excellent time. Saw lots of people I literally haven't seen in years, and others I just don't see often enough. Felt a lot less isolated than I have in months. I'm not lj-tagging you all. You know who you are.

Sunday, did very little but go to Crouch End for a fabulous Italian lunch. Didn't need to eat again that day (which is very odd. Usually no matter how much I eat, I'm hungry again an hour later). Bought bunny lights (will attempt to supply photo later). Crawled back to the flat and watched Pirates of the Caribbean.

Yesterday, I went to the National Gallery to see the El Greco exhibition. It's excellent, but if it's that crowded on a Monday morning, don't go at the weekend!

Attempted to have a wander around central London after that. Trafalgar Square is still full of pigeons, so I see Ken's plan to bump them all off isn't working. Covent Garden is deeply disappointing, there's some weird little churches on the Strand, and that's about as far as I got - lack of sleep and being burned out to begin with meant that I found myself back at the flat by mid afternoon. I'd intended to get as far at St. Paul's.

I'd meant to do more stuff today but got up and came straight back home. I fully intended to pop in to work and at least listen to the phone messages, but I got halfway up the hill and realized that I didn't have my swipe card. There's always people around to let me in, but that would defeat the purpose of sneaking in to do half an hour's work without anyone seeing me. Unfortunately this means I'm in big trouble if I'm late tomorrow.

Got in to find the lineup announcement for C10. It's pretty damn motivating. I can work ways around most of the obstacles (if I can get past my desire to stay debt-free, and hey, I hate my job anyway), but my passport will probably still be at the embassy being renewed then. That looks like the universe telling me not to go. Poo.
