Ho hum. The cold has come back with a vengeance, so I get to spend yet another day sitting on my butt at home.
Work's been funny this week - kind of like massive mood swings, I go from doing really constructive, responsible things which make me feel like I'm making a real contribution and like I'm a real professional, back to the levels of frustration I was at before I made up my new job. That this relates to the Incompetent Co-Worker will come as no surprise to most of you. Once again I'm at the end of my tether with her, and once again I'm complaining but no one will do anything about it. Fortunately (or not) I'm too conscientious to sign off sick until she retires, but I could easily get away with it.
Then there's the hair dilemma. I got a bit carried away when I got it cut, and went with really short. Which was lovely for about two weeks, but now it's doing what it always does when short - sticking out at odd angles, and generally looking like shit. It's still an indeterminate colour because the lilac didn't take, and I haven't had time to finish bleaching the remaining red out of the long bits that are left (doing hair dye stuff is incredibly draining for me, so is the first thing to go by the wayside when I'm not well). In short, it looks like shit. In a few weeks it may be long enough to get extensions but I can't really afford that. Nor can I work out what to do with it long term. After all this work, I'm not just going to dye it black. However, the original idea (funny colours) is out of the question because I can't work up to dyeing that often. I may go long term platinum blonde and put funny colours in for special occasions.
On the plus side, the guinea pig seems to be getting on OK with the bunny, so that problem seems to have fixed itself. At any rate, it'll have to work out until I get back from the long weekend in Ireland next week.
