wehmuth and diffrentcolours, Paul and Lisa's wedding was lovely and a good time was had by all. They are on honeymoon holiday in Iceland and I for one am jealous. Some of you will remember that part of the logic behind postgrad Viking studies was hoping for travel grants to go there.
An inadvertent consequence of the weekend is that I rather want a miniature Schnauzer of my own. I'm not usually a dog person, especially not small dogs, but Oscar is so cute and well behaved. You can tell he's sweet, as Jason says I can have one if I look after it myself (i.e. it'll never happen) rather than just saying no to dogs as usual.
I suppose only I could go to London for the weekend and spend all my money at a farmers' market. Plus get more mud on my (new) shoes than I ever do at home.
Not surprisingly I'm suffering from sleep deprivation, because although I nearly fell asleep at the flat on Sunday afternoon and struggled to stay awake all day yesterday, last night I found myself AWAKE. But not awake enough to do anything constructive. I should go to work tomorrow, but I've opted for sleep and doing something about the state of the house (we're losing stuff again).
I owe you all several book reviews again which I will try to do tomorrow.
