Paris is go!

My Eurostar tickets arrived last week (very promptly, about 2 days after I ordered them).

I booked my hotel tonight. Just hope this online reservation thingie works.

Am now going to fall over and die. I've felt fine all day but suddenly the "hit by a large truck" feeling has come over me. Apologies as usual to everyone I owe email, comments, etc.

Don't forget - cheapest and best restaurants in the Latin quarter, south of Notre Dame, take the metro or RER to St Michel (Notre Dame) and then head down the pedestrian streets such as Rue de la Harpe.

PS Am I still OK to stay at your place on Wednesday the 3rd? - my Eurostar leaves at 12 on the 4th and I have to check in by 11:30 at the latest. I'd rather not get up at 5!

I'll keep that in mind, but my eating in France tends to involve raiding shops & making cheese sandwiches & eating pastries & crepes from street vendors. Having said that, I will definitely be in that area at some point, so I'll make sure it coincides with a meal.

I should be OK - this is my third trip to Paris.
Just the first one since December 1988. Eep! I'm old.
