Dec. 13th, 2002 02:32 pm It's just not news, OK?
I'm referring to the Cherie Blair (isn't it funny how suddenly the media calls her Blair and not Booth?) "scandal". It's not news. It wasn't news last week, it's not news now. I'm disgusted with the entire British media - even the "respectable" organs that were merely wittering on about how it's not news last week are promoting it as news now. I guess they have to have some non-news to clog up the airwaves/kill trees with, seeing as there's no big reality TV event on at the moment. Somebody wake me up when it's over.
Spoke too soon
About my improved health. I knew as soon as I said anything I'd get sick, and indeed have spent the last three days off work with something that started being a hideous cold but now I'm just back to being lethargic, with lots of joint pains and generally depressed. I hate facing the mess they've made at work when I've been away, and if the work has piled up too deep (which it shouldn't have this time) I just get into the cycle of being overworked and then getting sick again. I also have trouble getting excited about work when the boss has gone to even higher levels of avoiding me/the office/the team.

"No, the only morally rebarbative aspect of this business is the sight of people who pretend to be on the left, yeah, up to and including the act of governing us under that flag, buying a flat as an investment. The distinction between Cherie and Tony is irrelevant here: he will benefit from any investment she makes. If he had any moral problem with it, as spouse, he'd have a right of veto. She, besides, calls herself a Labour supporter. The purchase of property for this purpose is not consonant with any of the principles of the Labour party, even in its lily-livered present form. "

Get well soon, you poor thing. :(
