Too late for yet another travel destination

Yesterday, either the Guardian or the Independent had a link to an article (which I can't find now) about how Talinn, Estonia has become the latest "hip" place to have a chav-tastic stag weekend for Brits and Finns. To the point where restaurants and bars that don't cater to that kind of crowd (in the Old City, no less) are going out of business.

Google for Stag Weekend Talinn. It's truly frightening.

Bugger. Too late for yet another thing I really want to do.

I have a foot-tall stone gargoyle. He's very cute, but I've never seen another one (bought him at the hardware shop down the road). I don't think the griffin would fit. Next door have one of those iron arch things, which I thought would be too big for these yards, but it actually works.

There's a place in Trowbridge that does large-scale stone stuff. It's all reconstituted and moulded, but looks great. Ever wanted a stone pergola made with 7-foot tall greek columns, gothic arches or even a life-size golfer or conquistador? They've got the lot!
