Went back to work yesterday and am just about coping. I'd be doing better if it wasn't taking so long to get home from work. The main road that runs parallel to the one my bus route goes down is closed for 8 weeks. I can avoid excessive traffic in the morning if I leave 15 minutes early; but getting home has taken an hour both days. Not normally a huge problem, but both days I've left work early because I've run out of stand-up time, so not what I need. My ear is blocked *again* and it's driving me NUTS.

We have been slowly watching Season 3 of CSI on DVD. Tonight, we got to the other Lady Heather episode.
Somehow, I have watched most of Season 4 and all of Season 5 and not picked up on the fact that Catherine's ex died.

The new season of CSI: Miami started on Tuesday.

Oh my god - they killed Speedle. You bastards!

(Sorry. I couldn't resist).

Actually, I always felt he was the weakest character in the series.

I have to admit, I'm really not going to miss the morose f***er at all.

And they were making it so obvious. Every character gets to interact with him, then he says "Oh, I have plenty of time to think about that". Bang.

Yeah, that really bugged me too. But can I just stand up for Speedle here, I really liked him! I wish they'd killed off Delko instead.

Yeah, but no-one would even NOTICE if they killed him.

Kill the medical examiner - then she can talk to herself!

I sort of like Delco more than Speedle. It was the two of them fighting all the time that bugged me.

(Neither of them is as cool as Warrick and Nick, though).

I liked him a lot. It's funny that I didn't realise that he was in Dazed and Confused until recently. I did cry when he died.

If you bus is screwed that bad, then my local bus route is as well (6).
I do have the option of walking for 15-20 minutes to Staple Hill Road and getting a 48 or 49 to the centre, but not sure if that will be an improvement or not since walking that much could re-damage my foot.

I only need to go there (centre) on Tuesdays now (or Wednesdays if I go to the farmer's market) and don't need to travel at rush hour. If this doesn't discourage me from looking for work in the centre until the road is finished, I don't know what will.

It was much better today - very fast this morning and I didn't even leave early; and reasonably OK on the way home - I guess people who drive have started finding alternate routes.
