WH Smith is marketing Playboy stationery to pre-teen girls
I should be outraged, but all I can think of is the episode of The Simpsons where Bart finds Homer's old Playdude magazines.

Lots of stuff from Alternet about those pesky Creationists in the US and other disturbing stuff.

Er - that's it.

I am not a reader of titty mags, nor am I an advocate for them. However:

Playboy is (or at least was) no more (or more likely far less) pornographic that any issue of Nuts, Zoo, FHM etc. It was an aspirational magazine with some tits in it, unlike the other magazines that are tawdry and aimed at lad culture. OK so Playboy objectified women, but that's the media for you.

Playboy is NOT the global force it once was, they don't have the sales of the magazine, they have no clubs any more. It's a 60s relic, these days all they have left is the Bunny, and frankly the Bunny is meaningless to the vast majority of young people. (And frankly it IS a brilliant bit of graphic design).

It's not a logo that's sexualising young girls. It's shops like Tammy Girl selling junior thongs and crop tops, New Look selling T shirts that say "Porn Star" etc.

Good Lord, are they still wheeling Natasha Walter out to do rent-a-quote duty?
