I found a new home for one of the many mice currently living with me. It's in London, so I loaded her into the small animal containment device with lots of food and drink and headed out on Sunday. We drove to South Ealing station and took the tube to Walthamstow.

We now know that mice travel marginally better than gerbils (that is, she didn't fall over on her side and turn green) but she was mightily traumatised by the time we got her to her destination. Staying in the car all the way might have been gentler for her, but would have taken twice as long.

While we were in the neighbourhood, we visited [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and [livejournal.com profile] reddragdiva and their new KITTENS. Who are all kitten-like and utterly adorable.

We have also learned that mice will eat just about anything and in particular *love* bread. I still ended up throwing out the leftovers last night out of habit. This was stupid because supplementing with leftovers could make a dent in the mouse food budget. Which is going to be considerable until my bulk order comes through.

This week's rental DVD was Hero, by which I was pleasantly surprised. I'd heard good things but I don't as a rule get excited about martial arts films. The use of colour was very good indeed, but what blew me away was the music, which I found just utterly beautiful. The story doesn't suck either.

Still not feeling so great, so I'm going to go fall over now.
