More upbeat update
Nov. 14th, 2005 08:08 pmAfter a slow start today, for the first time in a while, I felt almost human. Not coincidentally, even though it was cold, it was crisp & dry & sunny.
I spent my lunch hour waiting in a line for Neil Gaiman to sign my brand-new copy of Anansi Boys. (!!!) I was trying to wait for the paperback but the prospect of having it signed tipped the balance.
So the to-read pile has grown even more. It's not likely to decrease soon, as my prime reading time (on the bus in the morning) has been usurped by listening to Spanish with Michel Thomas for the next two months. I think it's working.
Granted, things aren't all better because it's 8:00 and I'm about to go fall over again, but even though I stood up for an hour at lunch my knees don't hurt, which is a Definite Improvement.
