I've been kidnapped by aliens again.

I bought boots that aren't black, (or purple, or blue.)

In other words, they're kinda brown.

But they were a nifty style, they fit over my calves and they were really cheap in TK Maxx.

The heels may be too high for me - they felt more comfortable than they looked when I tried them on, but only actual wearing will tell.

If I find them less amusing after three wearings I can probably sell them on for near what I paid for them. If I decide I actually like them I might try dying them black, if you can still buy leather dye. It tends not to work perfectly and need frequent re-touches, thus I'm not going to mess with the colour until I've decided they're keepers.

I dyed a pair of shoes black once, and it worked very well. Mind you, they were dark navy blue - so dark, in fact, that I thought they were black when I bought them!
