I won't be purchasing the new Nick Cave CD any time soon, or anything else that isn't food.
On Friday I went to Debenham's and finally purchased a new duvet cover - this has been a pretty desperate situation for a while, but I can still always find better things to do than shop for bedding. Being the Bargain Queen, I got a really expensive one half price.
Unfortunately, the sheets and pillow cases (which we could use, but don't need, that went with it were not reduced. But they were extremely purple - the purple equivalent of the new blacker-than-black substance. I *had* to have them.
It's obviously my own damn fault, but between that and the home contents insurance being due this week, I will not be shopping for the rest of the month. Which is no tragedy, but I suspect not a lot will be going into savings this month either.
In other news, I failed to make it to SubSpecies last night, as my cold had migrated from sore throat to shakes and fever. I had an extremely hectic morning at the shelter yesterday - I didn't get the full story, but we just got dumped with a very large number of pregnant/ recently given birth rats, that had not yet been sorted into suitable family groups. We are now fostering a very pregnant rat until she's had her babies and they're ready to go to new homes.

Too tired after working all day.
I think we would have dragged ourselves out if /mel/had shown up.
;P
Could you ask your friend at the shelter about me buying a Ferretone bottle from him?
And, get me the shelter info for Jo?

Date: 2003-02-09 12:36 pm (UTC)Hopefully we can all get it together sometime soon - perhaps for the next Subspecies. And if not then maybe during the day when the weather warms and I come out of hibernation.
