I win the stupid award (again)
Apr. 2nd, 2006 04:06 pmYesterday, Jason & I decided to take advantage of the less than atrocious weather and go for a walk in a local nature reserve. I missed one of the steps up to the waterfall view point, and landed on my good knee. I have some lovely bruising and swelling, but that's of minor importance. The problem is that my shoulders & back have all been whacked out of alignment (or something) by the impact, leaving me with more general aches & pains than normal.
It was very stupid of me indeed. I'm normally very careful in that sort of situation because I am so clumsy, but for some reason I didn't think that was necessary yesterday.
The timing is what makes it even stupider - I'm going to a gig tomorrow night, and to a museum on Tuesday, the very situations my back & neck don't like much in the first place.
On the other hand, I'm getting a good rest today. I wanted to start cleaning up the back yard, but it's way too windy to contemplate the great outdoors.
