The good news
Apr. 13th, 2006 07:41 pmI might have mentioned I've started making my own greeting cards. I'm not remotely creative or artistic, and my results so far have been a bit poor. This week I got lost in two real-life and several on-line craft stores and now have a lovely variety of stamps, stickers, stencils and inks with which to make crap greeting cards. Card-making supplies are cheap, though, so it hasn't done that much damage to my bank account.
The Green & Blacks easter eggs just might have, though. As will this coming weekend. I so did not need to know about this place: Puppets by Post. The cuteness levels are obscene, and the finger puppets are very reasonably priced, but I want so many of them.
I read a really fun book this week: The Apothecary's House by Adrian Matthews. The mystery is compelling and the writing is mostly of good quality. There's odd bits where the conversation just doesn't work and the main character does some really weird things, but overall I was hooked.
I have heard from the seller of my digital radio. It was allegedly sent last week & they are checking with Royal Mail, but that's all I've heard. It doesn't look good.
It's Beyond the Veil this weekend. I'm terribly excited about going, and seeing Violet Stigmata again, but it occurred to me last night that I haven't even thought about what to wear, when half the world seems to be panicking about their Whitby wardrobes, which is another whole week away. I do believe I'll wear - um - clothes. So there.
There was some brief feeling slightly better today, but I'm about to be face down at my desk again. Better order my dad's birthday present first.
