8. E is for Evidence by Sue Grafton
I've read a lot of positive reviews of this series, so grabbed this last time I was in the library.

It's a competently enough written mystery, but really did nothing for me.

Which is just as well, considering the series is now up to S is for Silence and me with too many interests to follow up already.
