[Film} 300
Apr. 7th, 2007 08:14 pmThe plot wasn't all that exciting, but it's worth it for the visuals. The completely un-real mythic landscape is perfect. I thought the little leather shorts the Spartans all wear were the gayest thing I've seen since Dontatello's David, but then along came Xerxes and his alarmingly camp gold shorts, and promptly the leather shorts were relegated to third place.
Speaking of Xerxes, was he a Goa'uld or what? [1] Specifically, Apophis. He even had the voice.
Overall worth the effort to see in the cinema - I suspect on the small screen I would have been left going "what's the point"
[1] If you don't watch Stargate, you probably won't get it.
