Quick update
Apr. 25th, 2003 07:24 pmWhile I'm waiting for my pizza, a couple things.
First, obviously I'm about to go on a holiday involving long car journeys - my back and neck have been killing me all week. It's just my system taking revenge on me for painting last weekend, but my timing could have been better.
In the good news section, I just bought tickets to see Tindersticks here in Bristol on June 7th. I haven't seen them in close to 10 years and they were excellent live last time. They're playing in what's usually a classical music venue so I must find out if they're touring with full orchestra like they did in the States last year.
Also, if anyone's in the Bristol area, BS8 on Park Street has just taken a shipment of a metric assload of Underground Shoes (2000 pairs to be precise). They are being sold ridiculously cheaply! He's got them all piled up in two garages somewhere, so the stock differs on different days. Today there were no pointy-toed ones in my size, but I told him that if he unearths any next time he goes to the garage, I will buy multiple pairs (plain leather calf-high lace-up pointy boots with no heel - £9.99, the patent version £29.99. The silly ones with red crosses on the side - either £30 or £40.) Today's only purchase was a pair of stompy pvc knee-high boots for £40! I will be hanging round there a lot in the near future. They have more of the stompy/DM-like styles than pointy boots, or at least that's what was in today.
And we've made a decision to keep the Temporary Bunny. I've got to return her to the shelter tomorrow anyway, partly because we're going on holiday, but also because I've got to keep her out of here until I can get her neutered - trying to keep her away from Socks has been successful so far but is too risky in the long run. Also, female rabbits tend towards uterine tumours so it's best to get their reproductive organs removed for health reasons.
