More work stuff
Aug. 1st, 2002 04:21 pmHave spent the afternoon on the second re-write of my job description. I know, shouldn't grumble, as I do get to write my own job description. Spent more time fiddling with the layout than I did with the content (spent too much time doing DTP for a living, obviously).
That's the lesser evil. I now have to fill out the Trust's official Application for Re-grading form, which asks for specific instances of why I should be re-graded. I do stuff above and beyond what I'm employed to do all the time, but can I think of a single thing with a piece of paper in front of me? Don't be silly.
Then there's the whole issue of trying to word the section about supervising other staff, without incorporating the phrase "banging my head against a brick wall". Or indeed, the admin without actually saying "running the office because the boss is perpetually absent with family crises". There must be a HR-ese expression for that.
