Fried hair
Sep. 6th, 2002 08:48 amSo, I decided I want lilac hair. Unfortunately that means bleaching out the black and purple. First attempt was last night. This would work better if the bleach came in squeezy bottles like regular dye - anything that involves using a tinting brush defeats me.
I've had the exact same result as the last time I tried this - day-glo blonde on top (I tried to keep the bleach off my roots but failed miserably), day-glow orange in the middle, and no shifting whatsoever at the ends.
I was due for a fairly drastic haircut anyway, it'll just have to be sooner and a bit more drastic than I had in mind. (I was leaving the haircut until after the bleach to see how much hair needed cutting off).
Obviously, my hair feels like straw and I won't be attempting any colour correction for a few weeks. What I'll look like at Exile tomorrow is anybody's guess.
