[film] Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Finally got around to seeing it last night. It's way better than the second installment - whereas that was just too damn long and a good 30-40 minutes could have been excised without any untoward effects on the story telling, the third one is long because there's just so much going on.

Brain is a bit splat today so I can't think of anything constructive to say about it.

Stil nowhere near as good as the first film, but then these things never are.

I *still* haven't seen the second film. Do I need to see it before seeing the third one?

You can probably do without. After all, I have the memory of a fish and wasn't too confused. I think the third one stands on its own.

I've seen all three now. I liked the first one. The second one bored me to tears. I fell asleep during one part. It was just a bunch of people sword fighting on three different boats. I dunno. I couldn't figure out the plot. Why did they suddenly want to kill Captain Jack? The third was okay but again part of the plot escaped me. I gotta say, I'm just not a fan.

No one in the theater laughed at the Larry joke. I thought it was funny.
